Java Superposition T-matrix App (JaSTA):

To study the light scattering properties of cosmic dust aggregates, a virtual scattering laboratory software package has been developed by our group, which is based on Mackwoski and Mischenko's Superposition T-matrix code written in Fortran language. The Java Superposition T-matrix App (JaSTA) software package consists of a Graphical User Interface (GUI) in the front hand and a database of related data’s in the back hand. JaSTA provides a unique and very much user friendly GUI that guides the user at each and every step. Both the interactive GUI and database package directly enables user to model by self monitoring respective input parameters (viz. wavelength, complex refractive indices, grain size parameter, etc.) to study the related optical properties (viz. Extinction, polarization, etc.), of cosmic dust instantly. We are providing a large number of pre-calculated data in the form of a database. The current version of this software is developed for Linux and Windows. This software can be downloaded from the following link:
